LITEN JIZÔ SYMBOLIZES GOOD FORTUNE.
He comes with luck and will protect you. The Liten Jizôs are strongly recommended to anyone who have kept a part of imagination and a sense of magic. But where does its power come from? Two influences predominate:
LEGEND.
A descendant of Japanese Jizô and Swedish Hus-troll, Liten Jizô is an original mix of multicultural influences. Liten Jizôs bring about a melting pot of tolerance, kindness and acceptance.
/// The Jizo Bodhisattva figures are particularly revered in Asia, especially in Japan. They are known to cure illnesses and help people who didn’t do enough good deeds to liberate themselves and reach Nirvana. They are not to be confused with Buddhas, of whom they are disciples. Jizos are living legends, often symbolized by a simple rock dressed up in a red apron. You’ll meet them in the countryside ditches alongside fresh offerings.
/// The Hus-Troll of Nordic heritage strives to protect the home it is devoted to. In honour of an old Swedish belief, you can still see on Christmas Eve a bowl of porridge placed on doorsteps of homes for the Troll of the house. An empty bowl in the morning signifies that the Hus-Troll is happy and the home will be blessed throughout the year. Hence, because of their Swedish heritage, Liten Jizôs are faithful protectors of the home.

WHAT DO THEY SAY?
SINCE 2013, IMAGINED IN FRANCE
The 7 Liten Jizôs were born from an extraordinary encounter between Nébine and Lena, both mothers of tremendous euroasian children, who longed for a lovely “little something” watching over their youngsters and their loved ones, at all times and in all places. The Liten Jizô adventure is now in the sole hands of Lena Sandö, a Swedish freelance creative based in Paris, with a passion for branding, design and art.
